This year the Academy will be organized with the participation of young politicians, local counsellors, young civil servants, students and leaders of civil organisations.

Hockey pitches in Transylvania built with the support of the Government of Hungary

“The national cause has been restored since we meet herein the Hungarian House of Parliament ” –started his welcoming speech Zsolt Semjén, Deputy prime minister then he stressed the importance of MIÉRT in the organization of the Transylvanian youth life. In the same tone Hunor Kelemen, President of DAHR said that they counted on the young in public life andin this MIÉRT was their primary partner. In the joint presidency meeting Zsolt Semjén declared that upon the DAHR’s request they would like to offer outstanding support to the sports clubs, offering the possibility to build and restore hockey pitches in the future besides continuing to support the young entrepreneurs.

Lóránt Antal, President of MIÉRT thanked Lőrinc Nacsa, President of the Young Christian Democratic Union (IKSZ) for having organized the joint debate, which is a landmark of their almost four-year long partnership. “In the light of the year 2016 we have to raise the youth’s awareness that the future is about them and it is essential hat they take part in public life.” – said the President of MIÉRT. Welcoming the initiative of the Hungarian Permanent Council, Antal said that MIÉRT will also join the year of the young entrepreneurs by the Successful youth initiative that they would like to take to the next level.

Further on the leaders of the two youth organisations adopted a joint declaration in with they laid down the guidelines of their future cooperation. During the press conference held after the event, the Presidents of MIÉRT and IKSZ presented the main points of the declaration: boosting the economic and professional relations among the young entrepreneurs, supporting the exchange ofexperience in the field of research and development as well as IT, representing better the interests of the Hungarian students studying in Transylvania and the Transylvanian students’ studying in Budapest and establishing a youth centre in Cluj-Napoca are among their goals.

Katalin Szili, Government commissioner for the development of autonomy conceptions also took part in the board meeting held on Friday who acknowledging the opinion of the youth on autonomy asked for a partnership with MIÉRT. Tamás Schanda, Deputy State Secretary for youth policies and equal chances in the Ministry of Human resources, Csaba Dömötör, Parliament State Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office and Péter Szilágyi, on behalf of the State Secretariat for National Policies were also present at the meeting.
